08-26-08 Disneyland Again

ok, so i know i already posted a disneyland blog, but since we go as often as we can, i already have new & exciting disneyland pics!

of course, these two always seem to like each other at disneyland, why can't they do that at home? ha ha.

what in the world?!

what a cutie pie!

and these two don't look too bad either! lol

hey, who gave this girl a license already?!

we by chance discovered that zachary is growing like a weed (i guess that's what we get for feeding him). just 3 months ago he was only about 46 inches tall but he is officially 48 inches now, and that's tall enough for california screamin - a really real roller coaster! he loved it! he went on it twice.

this was the first time i decided to use the firework setting on my camera. i take no credit for any of these pictures if they look good - i was only standing and clicking because i didn't know how to work out the timing on the delay or anything since it was the first time trying to use this setting. but i got lucky on some of the pictures (you may disagree, but i think some of these look pretty cool). these are just a few of the ones i managed to capture.

Disneyland

we went to disneyland for a day (common family outing - gotta put those season passes to good use!) the kids got to play with some disney characters dale was a little hat thief! ha ha

proof that these two do have some brotherly love!

a little father son moment! aww!

it was great to spend the trip with grandpa and "chrismas" (nickname courtesy of zachary when he was young - to the adult world it's chris) lol.

our kids are definite roller coaster kids - no fear! just look at the grins!

kyle is now officially tall enough for the "big" rides he was previously too small for. (40 inches exactly - his head barely touches the bottom of the sign!) so this was his first time on big thunder mtn. he loved it! he also rode soaring over california, but he wimped out on the tower of terror before he ever got all the way in. oh well, maybe another time. we didn't wait in line for space mtn., so he still needs to ride it - our mission for the next trip!

Fire Station

well, i decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon. it seems it would be a nice way for family & friends that we don't see that often to keep up with our busy family! so hopefully everyone will enjoy the updates and pictures. i will do my best to keep our blog current, so check back often! we took the kids to the fire station near our house. they got to see the engines, and all the different compartments that hold the equipment.

they all got to take a turn sitting in the driver's seat of the engine. we had to keep telling zachary not to push buttons (there's a surprise). the firefighter was great - he told zachary if he pushed any buttons, "they" would know who did it, and come get him!

they all even got to take a turn holding the ax! one of the firefighters told the kids in regards to the ax "see i bet you didn't know that i have the key to your house!" ha ha very funny!

the funniest part of the day was when one of the firefighters showed the kids the "secret door". it was the side door of the garage that led to the outside. the kids were so amazed by this door, that they kept running thru it, coming back into the garage from the front, and goind around again. one of the firefighters said it well: it's like when you give a kid a big christmas present, and all they want to do is play with the box.
